The owner of a McDonald’s branch in Lexington, Ky., came to employees’ defense after a video of them kicking out an elderly woman went viral this week. A review of the situation led the unnamed owner to conclude that the employees “made the appropriate decision,”
All customers are welcome in our restaurants, and our organization is committed to the well-being and fair treatment of all people,” the owner said in a statement to LEX 18. “In this instance, the guest had been inciting customer complaints for multiple hours; therefore, the customer was asked to leave.”
Customers reportedly complained that the woman smelled and had slept in the lobby, but Nunez claimed the smell was coming from the bathroom — not the woman.
